How I approach the work, whether it's a single server or a full network buildout.
I run my own servers and network gear, colocated in a top tier datacenter in Luxembourg. I don't resell someone else's platform, so there's no middleman between you and the person managing your systems.
Everything is hosted in Luxembourg, inside the EU. Your data stays under European law, and you always know which jurisdiction it sits in.
I build on open standards and portable setups. If you ever want to move elsewhere, I'll help you take your data and configuration with you.
Prices are agreed before I start, and they don't change behind your back. No hidden fees, no surprise line items on the invoice.
Security isn't an afterthought. I run things with NIS2 in mind, proper access control, hardened systems, and a plan for when something goes wrong.
Redundancy is there from day one, not added after the first outage. Tier IV facilities and multiple network paths keep things running when hardware eventually fails.

The practical differences between MikeNetworks and the large cloud platforms.
| MikeNetworks | Hyperscalers | |
|---|---|---|
| Data location & jurisdiction | Hosted in Luxembourg, under EU law | Often global, frequently under US jurisdiction |
| Infrastructure | Our own hardware, no reselling | Shared platforms managed by the provider |
| Facility standard | Tier IV certified datacenter | Varies; many are not Tier IV certified |
| Pricing | Fixed and agreed up front | Usage-based, easy to be surprised by |
| Energy | 100% renewable | Usually not fully renewable |
Both models have their uses. For European workloads that value data locality, ownership and predictable costs, an independent provider is often the better fit.
